Video Marketing Tips

Are you afraid of doing videos? Maybe you get very nervous, maybe you stutter or mix up words, maybe you say uh, um, and yeah to much when you talk. When I first started doing videos I did all of these, a lot and I still do. Somethings that has helped me with doing videos.

Hi everyone, Mole J here on a beautiful Saturday evening. I hope you are having a great weekend. Here are some tips that have helped me when I do my videos.

If you are very nervous, maybe try to do several videos with no intention of putting them on the internet. Just to get you in front of the camera.

First I write a script. What I am going to talk about. I do this for several reasons, one is to stay focused on the topic. The other is for me to be more comfortable in front of the camera.

Then practice makes perfect. I read the script several times and time it. If too long I cut out some or make some changes. I read like I am filming. I look at the camera like I am filming at this stage and I time it.

Your videos should be less than 5 minutes. You should shoot for 1-2 minutes. The only time you should go over 5 minutes is for a tutorial , training, or presentation. All other videos 1-2 minutes. I am trying to get better at this myself. Make them short and to the point.

Once I am comfortable. I start filming.

If I make a huge mistake, I start over from the top. Remember videos are to be short. Once I complete it, I am finished. If I made a mistake I let it ride. Do not worry about mistakes, it will not detract from the video if you are giving value. In fact, it shows that you are human.

Just to get you in front of the camera. Once you get used to it, you lose your nervousness. Then just improve on each new video. Like Nike, Just Do It!!
