I touched on autoresponders in an earlier post (Here). With this post, I will go more in depth at autoresponders. If you are new to network marketing, you may not understand what an autoresponder is and why they are essential. When I first entered this industry, I did not have a clue what an autoresponder was, or what it did, not to mention why it is important.

An autoresponder is a computer program or website that connects with your capture page that allows you build, connect, and sell to your list and is the most treasured part of your business. A list has the names, e-mails, and telephone numbers of people who have given you their information in exchange for something in return. In network marketing, this is where all your money will be located, from people on your list.

That is why it is important. An autoresponder is another way to stay in contact with those on your list automatically and en masse. You can create a series of e-mails to be sent to a person every day for a number of days when they initially sign up. Then you can also send an e-mail to everyone on your list whenever you feel like it.

For example, you could create a series of e-mails that give information about how to market on the internet. When a person comes to your website and enters their information, they will be sent the 1st email in the series, and everyday they will receive the next e-mail in the series. You build your list up, and your network marketing company is having a hug presentation. You can send out an invitation to your list to the presentation. Then you get a few sign up into your network marketing company.

This can also work for affiliate products. With affiliate, you receive a commission for anyone who buys a product from you. So, you could include some affiliate products in the initial series of e-mail. In addition, if there is a new product being released, you can send a mass e-mail to your list. When someone buys the product you make a profit.

You can see how important an autoresponder is to your business.

The next question is how often should you mail your list. This varies among marketers, some say 2 times a day, some say everyday, some say a few times a week, and some say just every now and then. The more you e-mail your list, the more familiar you will be with your list. So, they will more likely open your e-mails when you send them.

Be warned, you must be presenting your list with value. This is not that hard to do. If you find some small tips about marketing, you can send it very quickly to your list. If you are only sending out affiliate products or join my company type of e-mails, many on your list may unsubscribe or
just not open your e-mails. You must send out value.

An autoresponder will cost you about $20 a month, but it is essential to market online.

The most popular autoresponder is Aweber. I use Aweber and I love it. Some other autoresponder is Getresponse, icontact, and constant contact are some other autoresponder that you can use.
