The developers created this game to run on as many different computer setups as possible.  If your computer is 2 or 3 years old, you can easily run this game, because the specifications are very low. If you own a Mac, you should be able to run this game on any of the Windows emulator programs.

Golden Fairway is a free online golf game that is for the casual gamer. It has a very short learning curve, and within 5 minutes, you will be able to have a good feel for the game and be ready to play. However, you can do some complex things like playing fades, draws, and flop shots. Just like in real life, these types of shots will require some practice.

There are a number of ways to play the game. The first is solo games. You can play 9 or 18 holes by yourself. You can also play against others in groups of up to 4 players with stroke or captain’s choice. You can also play in weekly tournaments for prizes and challenge other players.

The game has two sides to it. The paid side allows you to play in the weekly tournaments for prizes and challenge other players. The paid side you pay $9.99 for 2500 tokens (this is a pay as you go, not a reoccurring payment). In addition to joining a tournament and challenging other players, you can use the tokens in the game to buy power shots that allow you hit the ball farther, and pay for a mulligan on certain shots.

The tournaments run for a week. Depending on the number of players, they are divided into 5 flights. If you win your flight, you win $10 and a scratch ticket with a chance to win up to $50,000. The remaining top 5 receive a scratch ticket.

A new tournament starts each week, and each round costs 100 tokens. You can play as many rounds as you want in the tournament, but only your lowest round counts towards the tournament. You do not have to play the round in one sitting. So you could play the front 9 and come back later and finish up your round. You can also play with other players in the tournament or play solo.

The other part of the paid side is challenging other players. This you play for golf balls. You can turn 100 tokens to 10 balls. The winner of the challenge wins 10 golf balls. These can be turned back into tokens.

The Challenge is done through the website. All that is needed is the other player’s user name. Enter their user name and how many balls you want to wager. When that person logs back into the game they have a notice they have been challenged. If they accept than the games must be played by both players   hrs. The winner receives the golf balls.

You must buy tokens to enter a tournament or challenge another player, but you can still play multi-player games for free. This is really where the game shines. The multiplayer game is more difficult for some reasons. The weather has more effect on flight of the ball, so you have to play the wind more. The greens have more slopes, hills, and dips, and you will have to read the greens more.

There is voip available through the game. If you have a headset, you can actually talk to your playing partners as you play. There is also a chat box you can chat with them, and also you can make your golfer dance, laugh, nod, and do a lot of other animations.
